Seasonal eel menu at our award-winning signature Japanese restaurant Join Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara for a special Japanese midsummer set lunch or dinner of eel or unagi dishes from 29 July – 7 August 2016. Traditionally eaten during the summer months, eel is thought to boost energy, especially on a blazing hot day.
According to the ancient Japanese calendar, midsummer is the Day of the Ox but ever since the Edo period at the start of the 19th century it’s become known as Unagi No Hi, or “Eel Day." At Yamazato, you can enjoy the enduring Japanese custom of hot season eel dishes with a menu featuring highlights such as eel with wakame, cucumber, sesame and a creamy sauce with vinegar and radish, steamed rice with grilled eel and egg, tempura of shrimp, conger eel, eggplant and sweet potato, simmered pork with sukiyaki style, and much more.
The special Gozen set lunch for Midsummer day of the Ox priced at Baht 900 per person and Kaiseki set dinner menus priced at Baht 3,000 per person and available daily at Yamazato, located on the 24th floor of The Okura Prestige Bangkok, from 29 July – 7 August 2016. The restaurant is open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and for dinner from 6 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
