Bangkok, Thailand, (14 August 2018) Autumn is a time traditionally associated with melancholia, or a feeling of languor, when the leaves start to fall from the trees and the nights draw in, but the bartenders at The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s Up & Above Bar are concocting the perfect antidotes to beat the season’s blues with a selection of enlivening cocktails and mocktails.
Available throughout the day, these delicious pick-me-ups include the Drifting Shiso Leaves, a toothsome mix of bourbon, cointreau, lemon, shiso leaves, and simple syrup. For a fizzy effect look no further than the Apple Cider Mimosa, a refreshing blend of prosecco or Champagne with apple cider, cinnamon, and simple syrup. Alternatively, the earthy combination of the Autumn Leaves cocktail, with Pisco, Drambuie, Campari, and lime juice is the perfect combination for this time of year. Finally, think of the atmospheric Appalacian backwoods as you sip on a Bourbon Maple Old Fashioned made with Bourbon and sweet notes of maple syrup. Effervescent mocktails are available too, including the Sparkling Apple, a reviving mix of apple juice, lime, cinammon, star anise, soda water, and rose water and Flavour with Ginger, a ginger juice mixed with lime juice, syrup and soda water.
